The Shire of Goomalling is a local government area in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, about 110 kilometres north-east of Perth. It covers an area of 2,484 square kilometres and has a population of approximately 1,200 people.
The town of Goomalling is the main population centre and is located on the Great Northern Highway between Perth and Geraldton. Other small towns and localities within the shire include Beacon, Hulongine, Ucarty, and Wongamine.
The economy of the shire is largely driven by agriculture, with wheat, sheep and cattle farming being the primary industries. There are also a number of small businesses servicing the community such as retail shops, cafes, and accommodation providers.
